This module is perhaps key to the understanding of Flow Cytometry, especially in the modern era when instruments are “black boxes” and their internal workings locked away from users.
The Module provides a comprehensive grounding in how a cytometer works, what happens to the cells you load onto it and how the data events are generated.
It is strongly recommended that all Theory Courses include this module, even if the trainees have pre-existing practical experience with cytometers. Runnin a lot of tubes does not always equate to knowing what is happening inside the cytometer!
